Today I went to the career fair in the cafeteria. I got to talk to some companies about job opportunities and internships. Very interesting to see all the different companies. After that I got to do some work on my truck and helped out Colt with some work on one of his toyotas.

Today I got to do some more learning in the classroom. I learned more about cavitation corrosion. I also actually did a teardown on a complete semi hub assembly including the brakes. I learned how a slack adjuster works and feel comfortable that I could install all new brake components on a axle. Another good day all in all.

Today I learned a lot. Today was the official start of brakes. I got to take the hub off of the kenworth semi and do some practice with the brakes. Fun day of learning all in all.

Today was intresting. Learned some more about the industry from one of the guys at Motortrucks. I also did some more research and learning on Cat basics.

Today was kind of laid back, but I was able to put some of my electrical skills to use and try and diagnose my A/C problem. Today we also had a BBQ. That was pretty nice.

Today i was able to go to the PACCAR truck tour. So so cool to see all the tests and experiments they do on semi's. I also learned a lot about thermal cameras and what they can do for the industry!

Today I did my oem test on the frieghtliner and it went well. I also got some more time with shorts. Its starting to make more and more sense. I also finished caterpillar basics. On to drivetrain...

Today I did the oem test a couple of times for practice. One of them was on my truck and the other on the freight liner semi. It was good to see that my truck checked out good for the test and that I was able to do the test pretty fast. The only thing that took a while was separating the batteries for a load test and holding the lead on the starter soilinoid. I also had the oppotunity to go to Hamilton, WA and see one big truck. All in all, another good day for learning some DIESEL.

I learned a ton about my truck today. I really felt that not only did this help diagnose my starting issues in my truck, but it gave me very valuable information on how to diagnose glow plugs. I also learned more about the frieghtliner truck and its issues with a bad ground somewhere. I also still need a little practice with the short to grounds on the boards. Till next time. DIESEL

Learned about relays and can safely say that it clicked for me pretty easy. I am still working on shorts. I think that i am getting a better grip on the concept, but think that i need a little more practice. I also learned about the freightliner truck and how to in a "everyday" instance test for bad grounds and how to determine amperes of an alternator with ammeter.
